We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to work on our latest Chromium based desktop browser. This is a high profile and impactful, hands-on position. Work together with our developers and privacy/security experts to help us take our browser to the next level.
Drive design and implementation of large scale mobile application/infrastructure and contribute actively to the evolving team methodologies
Drive new browser features with a focus on reliability, cross platform compatibility, performance and security
Implementing back-end browser features, hooking in to existing Chromium components, and providing APIs to access those features from web content or other Chromium components
Deliver code which is well tested with high confidence (unit tests, browser tests).
5+ years experience with desktop application development
3+ years experience with Chromium open source project
Strong C++ development skills
Experience with software development via distributed development teams
Be familiar with web technologies and how the web works, especially the same-origin model and web tracking.
Comfortable working in an open source setting
Passion for user privacy and security
Written and verbal communication skills in English
Working experience with writing JavaScript/Typescript
Working experience with writing Rust
Chromium upstream contributions
Deep understanding OS architectures Win/OSX/Linux
Working experience with Blockchain/web3 projects
Experienced in usage of browser performance analyzer tools, experience in performance and footprint optimization for mobile application
